The Constitution of The Buck Ridge Ski Club




                                                            ARTICLE I Name

The name of this organization shall be The Buck Ridge Ski Club, Inc.





The Buck Ridge Ski Club shall have for its object, the promotion of the sport of skiing and other outdoor activities, and the improvement and entertainment of its members.



ARTICLE III Membership


Section 1 - Opportunity for membership in this Club shall be open to all persons who are interested in skiing or other outdoor activities.


Section 2 - The procedure for enrollment for members, the types of membership, and club dues and fees shall be stipulated in the By-laws.


Section 3 - Membership may be revoked for delinquency of club dues or for such conduct as may be judged by the Board of Governors as unbecoming a member of The Buck Ridge Ski Club.





The officers of The Buck Ridge Ski Club shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Interclub Representative, all of whom shall be elected by ballot from the club membership (except the Interclub Representative), and whose term of office shall be for one year.  The Interclub Representative shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Board of Governors.



ARTICLE V Board of Governors


The government of this Club shall be conducted by a Board of Governors consisting of the elected officers and the chairpersons of certain committees as specified in the By-Laws.




ARTICLE VI Committees


Committees of members to perform specified duties shall have the chairperson appointed by the President.  Unless specified elsewhere, the appointed chairperson shall choose other members to serve on the committee as needed.





Section 1- There shall be regular membership meetings as specified in the By-Laws.


Section 2 - The President may call a special meeting of the general membership at any time it is deemed to be for the welfare of the Club.



This Club shall be a non-profit organization.



ARTICLE IX Amendments


Amendments to this constitution may be made by the two-thirds favorable vote of members present at a regular meeting. Proposed amendments must be presented to the membership-at-large at least one month prior to the time of voting.
